Our testing teams “shoot the light” to verify active connections between specific server locations (e.g., Rack X on Floor 1) and corresponding shelf levels in different data halls. We validate the entire link to ensure that light is present and meeting loss specifications before hand-off.

OTDR Analysis & Failure Remediation

Rapid Recovery.

If a connection fails initial testing, Mercury Z provides immediate troubleshooting. We utilize advanced OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) equipment to analyze the circuit and pinpoint the exact location of the break or signal loss. Our remediation workflow includes fault isolation and, when necessary, running and splicing replacement fiber to restore full circuit integrity.

High-Density Cable Entry & Prep

Expert handling of ultra-high-count cables (864 to 6,912 strands). We manage the critical “Cable Entry & Furcation” process, protecting delicate ribbons with breakout kits (mesh/tubing) and executing precision thermal stripping of 200µm and 250µm coatings.
